International companies are already here
Global service providers have opened centres in Kosovo, for example Concentrix in Mitrovica. German and Swiss clients account for a large share of the sector's export revenue.
Skills and languages
English is widely spoken, especially among younger people, and German is common too. This suits software development, customer support and back-office work for EU, UK and US companies.
Salaries lower than in the EU
Average pay in Kosovo is in the €650 to €850 a month range depending on sector (2025). In IT, half of programmers earned more than €1,000 a month in 2024, still well below typical EU salary levels. Across the EU, labour costs average about €35 per hour.
